Configure DVR via the internet

Question

How can I configure my DVR so it is accessible from a remote location via moibile phone or web browser?

Answers

The DVR configuration is a process of configuring it to be accesible via your LAN. From a remote location however, you may require a technical expert who can configure your router. The router needs a rule setting up to forward traffic hitting the gateway to the DVR. This is often known as port forwarding or port triggering. It may also be called Virtual or DMZ servers. Basically the network needs network address translation in place to allow the traffic flow.

There are also some Internet resources that could help with many router configurations.

You can try www.portforward.com as they have an extensive collection of router setup instructions. Look under their router list if yours is listed
