Quick Setup (Download this article as an Adobe Reader document)
The CNB/VueNet IP cameras are set to use DHCP by default. As long as there is a DHCP server available on the local network, the camera should automatically be assigned an IP, Subnet Mask and gateway. Most DHCP servers allow for viewing the assigned IP’s. Check for the IP assigned to the MAC (hardware) address. The full address is on the label on the base of the camera starting with 001E81.
Manual Network Setup
If you do not have a DHCP server, the camera can still be setup with ease.
- Install the IP Installer application supplied with the camera
- Insert the CD Supplied with the camera into a Windows PC
- Open the CD in the Windows browser
- Open up the ‘IP Installer\IP Installer’ Folder
- Run the IPInstaller.XNET.AP-1.1.XX.XXX.exe
The program should run after the install completes and search for connected devices
If your camera is connected but does not display:-
- Click the ‘IPx’ button
- Enter the ‘MAC NO’ (from the label on the base of the camera) into the ‘Serial Number’
- Enter the desired ‘IP Address’ you wish to use for the camera. This can be any free local area network address.
- Click ‘Set’.
- Click ‘Select’ after choosing the correct network adapter.
- The settings will then be applied
The camera will then be available via this IP address through the Internet Explorer Web browser using http://{IP address} . Refer to the Manual (included on the CD) for more detailed instructions.
