Setting up Record

Please note that when the DVR is set to 'Regular' record, all recording will be labelled as such. No Motion files will be listed when searching through the recorded footage. If you wish to search for Motion events, you will have to disable 'regular' (Constant) record mode.

- Enter the Main Menu
- Go Into the Record menu

- Select the Channel, for setting all channels at once, select ‘ALL’
- Ignore Redundancy unless you have 2 x HDD’s installed and one setup as a redundant HDD
- Length. This sets the maximum amount of footage (in minutes)that will be recorded to one file.
- PreRecord. This sets the time in seconds to save before an event when an event occurs.
- Mode:
   - Schedule/Timing -this is to enable recoding during the selection periods time
   - Manual – This will only record when the record button is pressed on the DVR
   - Stop – Stops all recording
- Week: You can set separate schedules for each day of the week, to sett all days at the same time, select ‘ALL’
- Period: you can set up to 4 seperate record schedules. Each schedule you can set to record oon one or all of the options
- Period Option:
   - Regular – This is constant record during the time period
   - Detect – this is motion/blind/video loss detection
   - Alarm – This is from the Alarm inputs on the DVR
- Click OK to accept/apply the settings.

Setting up Motion Detection

- Go into The Main Menu
- Open Settings>Alarm>Video Motion

- Select the Channel you wish to enable Motion detection on
- Mark the 'Enable' to activate
- Choose the desired sensativity
- Region: Click the button to select the area for detection.
   - Note that when the area is selected for detection, it is highlighted with a red overlay.
   - The blank areas would be excluded from motion detection
- Period: Here you can alter the period when motion detection takes place. This is the same as would be set in the 'Record Setup'
- The interval is the time to wait from a motion detection, to where another motion can be detected
- Alarm output: Activate output to Relay 1&2. Delay is the amount of time to wait between Alarm activations (no relevant if no Alarm outputs connected)
- Record Channel: This sets the channel you wish to record when Motion is detected on the selected Channel. i.e. Could have Channel record just channel 1 or 1,2,3 and 4.
- Tour: This is advanced settings for when you have PTZ cameras connected.
- PTZ Also more advanced for PTZ connected. Delay next to there is the delay between PTZ activations.
- Show Message: displays a message on screen
- Send Email: sends an email when email is configured
- Buzzer: Tick to Enable, the DVR will then buzz when motion detection occurs.
- FTP upload: Saves an image to the configured FTP server
