Please find some basic notes with regards to configuring the Endeavour D1 DVR for viewing via the Internet/Local area network.
The Endeavour DVR utilises 3 ports for viewing over Network and Internet connections. The default port settings are:-
HTTP Port: 80
Video Port: 34567
Mobile Client Port: 34599
If you wish to configure the DVR to be viewed via the Internet, you would need to open up all these ports via your router/firewall.
The Mobile Phone application is called vMEye which is vailable from the App Store(Apple) Android Market and Blackberry App Market
When configuring the vMEye you would use the Mobile Client port. The Mobile client utilises the second stream on the DVR. This can be configured through the Menu>System>Encoding. Please note that the DVR can handle 110 fps in total at D1, so if you use the second stream, consider lowering the primary stream frame rate. Try and keep the second stream below 150 kbps for best results via 3G/Mobile connections.
If you are viewing via Internet Explorer, you may need to add the DVR as a trusted site to allow the installation of the ActiveX Control. See the Install add-on for Internet Explorer atricle for full details of this
